The Mekong Delta is one of Vietnam’s main tourist
attractions. The delta lies 50 miles south of Saigon (70 km). In the
Mekong Delta, tourists can do many excursions around its canals, where
floating markets are still the place where locals exchange goods.
Detailed Itinerary:
Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta Tour 4 Days
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City - Chau Doc (L/D)
7h00am: Pick up and transfer to Phung Hiep, take a two hour boat trip to visit the Xeo quit base in the Rung Tram forest. Lunch. Tranfser to Chau Doc. Check in upon arriving in Chau Doc. Visit the Sam moutain in the afternoon to enjoy the breakthing view down the Vietnamese Cambodian border, the Caved pagoda. Overnight in Chau Doc.
Day 2: Chau Doc - Ha Tien - Hon Chong (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel. Take a boat trip to visit the floating fish farm and the cham weaving village. Transfer to Ha Tien via Tri Ton. Lunch en route. Check in upon arriving in Ha Tien. Free for seabating at Mui Nai, visit Thach Dong. Tranfser to Hon Chong,.dinner and overnight in Hon Chong.
Day 3: Hon Chong - Thot Not - Can Tho (B/L/D)
8h00 am: Breakfast at hotel boarding to visit offside islets ( Ho Da Lua, Hon Re Nho ), seabathing, sunbathing, relaxing on islets, visit Chua Hang pagoda, Father & Son rock islet. Afternoon, transfer to Can Tho via thot not.Take a boat trip to visit the bird sanctuary. Check in upon arriving in Can Tho.
Day 4: Can Tho - Phong Dien - Cai Rang - Vinh Long - Ho Chi Minh (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel.Take a three hour trip to visit the Cai Rang and Phong Dien floating markets, oone hour trekking to the villages to experience the daily life of the local people. Visit the rice paper mill and the rice noodle making village. Try the feeling of the Monkey bridge in the countryside. Lunch. Drive to vinh long to visit the typical market selling snakes, eels. Return to Ho Chi Minh city.
